Out now: Head of Remote Guide + Podcast
100+ pages and many more minutes of insights of those who know what they are doing
The word “remote” is in the name of this newsletter for a reason. I’ve been working, leading and facilitating remotely for a long time - meaning I can actually do the work, instead of being interrupted every 11 minutes (that’s what the research says about working in an open office).
There are loads of resources out there for individuals who want to be better at doing the remote work: setting up the perfect morning routine, the most productive work space, the most engaging online meetings, etc.
However, even the best cook will have a had time excelling in a kitchen without knives and only one pan. She’ll probably be able to feed you, but she won’t be able to compete with someone who’s kitchen is optimized for - cooking!
Not because she’s lacking skill. But because she’s lacking structure and support.
A remote work environment is more than just sending your employees home with a computer - it ends up impacting everything: every process, every policy.
That’s why we ended up with 100+ pages of insights, lessons, recommendations, and best practices in the Head of Remote Quick Start Guide.
It comes with a series of interviews with many of the authors and contributors. I know it’s available on iTunes and Spotify, so search for “The Collaboration Superpowers Podcast” by Lisette Sutherland in your favourite podcast app to hear more. (My own contribution airs on Feb 10th - four days before my birthday.)
I’ll stop here, because I just recommended you to skim through a 100+ pages. ENJOY!
And do reply to this email with things you learned, things that surprised you, feedback, improvements - because this is just the first iteration!
Special shoutout to
who’s also on this platform and one of my favourite people to rubberduck my own assumptions on these topics with :)
Yay, so wonderful to collaborate together on this fantastic guide ;-)
